It all begun when I was just a 6 year old child. I got a Nintendo 8-bit (NES) for my birthday and became addicted. Playing like almost 24 hours a day with games like Super Mario Bros 1,2 and 3. I was so fascinated with the technique and the graphics that were used back then that it made me intested in computers. One day I got my own Personal Computer (PC). On the PC there were more games to play and they were less expensive then games on the Nintendo. The only disadvantage a PC had was the usabilty. To work with a PC you must understand some codes. These codes I learned while watching my father who also had a PC and had a job as a repair technician at Digital. With the codes I could startup games in MS-DOS and other fun programs like a drawing program. From that day on I decided I want to have a job that use computers for example a programmer. Years passed by, when I was at an age of 14 I played games online back then the online gaming scene evolved. Groups were formed playing against eachother in tournaments and competitions. If a group is searching for new members the first thing they need is a good website where players can go to see the activity of a group, the members, played matches, etc. Because I also formed a group I had to make a website. I searched the internet for tutorials and asked other groups for advice. With the information gathered I started to design with Adobe Photoshop. The reason I chose to design with Adobe Photoshop because there were a lot of tutorials on the Internet. I finished my site and it was a succes. We recruited some new members and got some nice comments about the website. After graduating from high school I studied ICT-Systemadministrator. Being a systemadministrator means that you also must have knowledge of HTML. Because I allready made websites this wasn’t a problem for me. I followed the course because I wanted to know more about coding instead of the usual What You See Is What You Get-editors. In the 4 years I studied ICT it became clear that I had a passion for designing en programming for the web.
